This world forces me to wear black…
Today I would like to share a striking quote from a russian friend and dark lady about dressing black: “This city definitely forces me to wear black. Even if I’m in the mood for some other color.This world forces me to wear black. No other color makes me feel comfortable with the humans“. “ (Augustine Strindberg)
It is indeed so, at least for me. I feel somehow forced to dress black, no matter how my mood is and what I would like. I can not easily indulge to any other color anymore, the only reasonable alternative I can find, just sometimes, is blood red which clearly fits conceptually and aesthetically to black. This world forced me and forces me to dress black, to a concept of extreme style, sober yet striking elegance, extreme sorrow and extreme power as contradiction. I am contradiction, I am black.
For the occasion, while walking again through the nice streets of Berlin I will show you a new black slightly dark blue Denny Rose sheath dress with darker black corset bones. A “petite robe noir”, like Chanel liked to call it, very classical, modern and always a trend.
I matched the dress with one of my own creations: “pleased to meet you” chain leash choker with black rose, to add a touch of sensual and elegant darkness…

Oggi voglio condividere con voi una frase di grande effetto e sostanza detta da un´amica nonche´ dark lady russa sul vestirsi di nero: “ Questa città mi forza, in modo definitivo, a verstirmi di nero. Anche se sono dell´umore adatto per del colore. Questo mondo mi forza a verstirmi di nero. Nessun altro colore riesce a farmi sentire a mio agio con gli esseri umani“.(Augustine Strindberg)
E´davvero così, quantomeno per me. Mi sento in un qualche modo forzata a vestirmi di nero, indipendentemente dall´umore o dalla mia volontà. Non riesco facilmente a indulgere ad altri colori, l´unica alternativa ragionevole che riesco a trovare, a volte, è il color rosso sangue che corrisponde chiaramente sia concettualmente che esteticamente al nero. Questo mondo mi ha obbligato e mi obbliga a vestirmi di nero, mi forza a credere in un concetto di estremo stile, a una sobria eleganza capace allo stesso tempo di colpire, a un concetto di lutto estremo e potere estremo come contraddizione. Io sono contraddizione. Io sono il nero.
Per l´occasione, camminando come sempre tra le strade di Berlino, oggi vi mostro un tubino nero, a tratti blu scuro di Denny Rose con stecche di bustino in nero più scuro. Una “petite robe noir”, come amava definirlo Chanel, il tubino nero resta sempre di moda, come sincretismo tra classicità e modernità.
Assieme al tubino ho abbinato una delle mie creazioni: la collana di catena con rosa nera “pleased to meet you” che aggiunge un tocco di sensuale ed elegante oscurità.

Today I am introducing you to a new friend: Paula, a spanish girl, friend from Pati.
Paula is wearing one of my Denny Rose favourite black short dresses so, for today we have two new things:
A) a nice looking “good and innocent” girl dressing black (is she really that innocent as she seems? I guess, this you will have to discover by yourself…)
B) A Spanish girl dressing Denny Rose which is mostly an italian brand not very diffuse eleswhere….
A black frontal big ribbon and a very short dress… a special flair, a mix between extreme innocence and provocation. I was described as well, as more innocent than usual, wearing that dress.

Is the lady in distress?
I have a taste for mistery tales.. no wonder, I am a mistery myself.
“Damsel in distress” is a common well known theme very liked from certain currents of toughts and partially very fascinating for me as well..However my personality brings me, as often, to split my inner desires with what I really am and how I really act. My own distress is strong yes, but always relative.. And often I am “the distress “for someone else…
Putting aside for one second that I am a fearless lady, (a very bad one, yes I know that as the long asymmetric Denny Rose black dress can well prove.. (see picture above)… The black long dress covers and discovers the legs with charm following the movement of the body.
I have to admit I was indeed in distress. Dealing with those 12 cm amazing high heel black pumps while lurking around in a decadent old house…was quiet a challenge..but a stylish one, no doubt on that..
How to say… put on your pumps to lurk around and get the job done… Remove them while you need to sneak away fast…
What was a black dressed lady in evening gown, wearing black sunglasses doing in a old house.. why was she lurking near an unknown door, what or whom is inside those door. what for?
All reasonable questions.. someone would think she is a secret spy, someone else that she is a sort of revenge good looking phantom, some others that she got an “unusual” misterios invitation in a very misterious place…
Was the person behind the closed door in distress as the lady was? Maybe yes, maybe not.. Maybe the lady was “the distress”.
You will never know that, sorry, that’s a very private affaire…
Independently from what I was seeking that day behind that closed door, evidently I came home with a different catch from the one I had in mind, but a very good one:) Or maybe It was me to be caught .. in both cases, sounds like a good deal to me..
A good lesson i have learned just a few weeks ago is that if you find a locked door in front of you, you either open it fast in a tricky way , you ring the bell (obvious), or just or let you in the next open door. And who knows …maybe you could find a new friend just on the stairs or in the garden…
If my theory that life sometimes is like a roulette and luckynumberblack may be waiting for you at the next corner then face your luck with an unforgettable style: be bold, be black, be stylish, be “the one”. And don’t forget your black sunglasses, pumps and chain leash rose choker…

Black, Skulls and Chains
Skulls seem to be the latest trend of the season, you can find them everywhere: on shirts, dresses, jewelry.. printed or in sequins, with a dark touch or pop colours.
Today, I introduce you one of our guest bloggers and good friend: Jeexena, in all her beauty featuring a fresh new Denny Rose (Cheap theory line) long black dress with pop fuchsia and silver sequin skull.
The dress is fresh, easy to wear, good for the hot season, as beachrobe, evening dress or just to walk under the sun with heavy boots in a cool city. Just slip on and go…
The touch visibly dark and young pop at the same time. The design elegant, in it’s long and bandaging simplicity, and intriguing for the asymmetric back cut, yet casual.
To add a more punk-chick touch Jeexena is wearing one of my own creations (All the forbidden things), a aluminium long leash chain choker.
So, for today.. get skulled and leashed
At the Edge of The World
details of the Operas of Alexeander Rodin, from his exhibition in Tacheles, Berlin.
Many berliners and foreigners consider Tacheles one of the coolest art project of the city: a “Trash and Cool” must see. The decadent rebellious atmosphere hides inside great art and talents. Colorful detailed graffiti all over the walls, stairs, dark, and on the top a strange light calling to enter in the little antechamber of the huge Alexeander Rodin`s exhibition. Giant paintings, contrasts of colors and details, contradictions, dramatic power and dark moods…I feel them like flesh and blood, like being at the edge of the World.
Is this black? I say yes, when something is so absolute then it´s Black, no matter how it appears… This man is really a great artist, I can say it.
As for me, today, “Trash and Cool” means: i pick up one of my best black tailleurs, a pair of sandals, my sunglasses and walk into the dirt enjoying all the creativity around me.
Today I am featuring:
- leash chain aluminium necklace, with red rose and vintage look from my own collection. Very soon on the market.
- Denny Rose summer season black limited edition tailleur (Thank you Lady Arpia for the nice gift:)) . The tight long pants are made of a double material. On the front a waved bright black satin, and on the back a mat black fabric.
The jacket is made of the same mat black fabric except the long arms in waved black satin.
- Bershka black sweather with shoulder studs and black sandals..

Molti berlinesi e stranieri considerano Tacheles uno dei progetti d´arte più interessanti della città. Un “trash&Cool” assolutamente da visitare. L´atmosfera decadente e ribelle nasconde al suo interno grande arte e talenti. Murales coloratissimi dappertutto sui muri, scale, buio e, in cima una strana luce che richiama ad entrare nella piccola anticamera dell´enorme esibizione di Alexeander Rodin: dipinti giganteschi, contrasti di colori e dettagli, contraddizioni, potere drammatico e umori oscuri… posso sentire questi quadri come fossero carne e sangue, come essere ai confini del Mondo.
E’ tutto ciò nero? Io dico di sì. Quando qualcosa è cosi assoluto allora è Nero. L´apparenza esterna è irrilevante. Un grande artista, di certo.
Per quanto mi riguarda, oggi, “trash and Cool” significa: scelgo uno dei miei migliori tailleurs neri, un paio di sandali, i miei occhiali da sole e cammino nello sporco godendomi tanta creatività.
Oggi vi presento:
- Collana in catena d´alluminio a guinzaglio con rosa rossa e look vintage. Mia personale creazione, presto in vendita.
- Denny Rose tailleur estivo nero in edizione limitata (grazie Lady Arpya per il regalo ). I pantaloni a sigaretta sono fatti davanti in satin ondulato e dietro in tessuto di colore opaco.
La giacca, dello stesso tessuto opaco a parte le maniche in satin ondulato strech.
- Bershka maglia nera con borchiette sulle spalline, e sandali alla schiava senza tacco neri.

Black Butterfly Wings…
Here I am again… In Berlin the weather is still cold.. so you will have to wait a bit before seeing some nice bikinis… sorry
Anyway, considering the temperature, tired of wearing just pants i opted, today, for a eco leather tight skirt Denny Rose, flower embroided net hold up stockings Calzedonia and another of my favourite AllSaints items: The Gigi Coat.
The All Saints Gigi Coat is a belted light wool coat with long sleeves, ideal for spring and autumn. The design is made with a wrapover front and asymmetrical hem. It can be worn with and without belt, closed (which gives a very japanese kimono austere look) or open, like willowy butterfly wings.
The Denny Rose eco leather tight knee pencil skirt skirt completes the look adding a touch contrast, brightness and personality to the composition. The material is really soft and shiny.

Eccomi di nuovo.. Le temperature a Berlino sono purtroppo ancora fredde, quindi dovrete aspettare ancora un po’ prima di vedere dei bei bikini estivi..
Comunque, date le temperature, stufa di indossare sempre pantaloni, oggi ho optato per una gonna in ecopelle di Denny Rose, calze autoreggenti a rete floreale di Calzedonia e uno dei miei cappotti preferiti: Il Gigi Coat di All Saints.
Il Gigi Coat è un cappotto con cintura a vita alta, senza bottoni, di lana leggera, ideale per primavera e autunno. La falda del cappotto si apre asimmetricamente creando dunque movimenti fluidi e non geometrici. Il cappotto può essere indossato con o senza cintura, chiuso (con un effetto molto austero da kimono) o aperto (con un effetto ad ali di farfalla).
La gonna in ecopelle al ginocchio di Denny Rose completa il look, aggiungendo un tocco di personalità e lucentezza alla composizione. Il materiale, davvero morbido e luminoso si avviluppa perfettamente al corpo.

Ecco alcuni dettagli della camicia nera e della della collana che ho indossato in alcuni posts precedenti.
La collana e´una mia creazione, unisex, adatta sia a donne che uomini, fatta di catena dal peso leggerissimo (essendo alluminio) e corno metallico, entrambi di colore canna di fucile chiaro lucido. Molto presto maggiori dettagli e creazioni..

AllSaints Spitalfields in Berlin
Since I moved to Berlin, 3 years ago, AllSaints has become one of my favourite fashion Brands. AllSaints Spitalfields is a British High Street retailer very popular in northen Europe and USA, not yet very much in Italy. AllSaints has in Berlin two stores. The style is characterized from a strong elegant gothic/dark connotation with a prevalence of black matt and glossy items and, on the other side, a refined casual vintage made of multicolor special prints and leather jackets with an atypical cut.
The result is a syncretism between classic elegance, everyday portability and distinction in well built detailed design. A trend setter for sure.
One of my favourite purchases has been this black coat, which has an incredible dynamic elegant cut – like a wave of wings. The waist is embellished with layered folds with a very geometric effect. Everything looks calibrated but charismatic at the same time. It has also a subtle touch of minimalism, baroque and a dark gothic impression. A black coat wearable in every occasion.
In this styling i decided to match:
- Over knee black leather boots Cinti
- Black blouse Denny Rose
- Black bag with metal gold ornaments (nice gift from Lady Arpya) Roberto Cavalli.

Allsaints Store in Berlin - Rosenthaler Straße 52

Da quando mi sono trasferita a vivere a Berlino, 3 anni fa… sono subito diventata una grande fan di AllSaints. All Saints è un fashion brand inglese molto popolare nel nord europa, USA e Giappone ma ancora poco conosciuto in italia. AllSaints a Berlino ha due negozi. Lo stile si caratterizza per una forte connotazione gotica/dark elegante con prevalenza di capi neri lucidi e opachi e all´avanguardia , e dall´altro a un casual vintage ricercato fatto di stampe colorate particolari e giacche di pelle dal taglio atipico.
Ne risulta un sincretismo tra classica eleganza, vesitibilitä quotidiana e distinzione, in un design ben costruito anche nei dettagli. Un trend setter, definitivamente.
Uno dei miei acquisti preferiti È stato questo cappotto nero , per la forma dinamica determinata dalla caduta libera di ondulate code laterali, e per la lavorazione del punto vita
segnata da pieghe sovrapposte con esattezza geometrica. L’insieme ne risulta calibrato, ma carismatico, per la discreta presenza di simboli culturali barocchi, in una interpretazione in chiave gotica-dark, allo stesso tempo minimale. Un cappotto nero portabilissimo e adatto a ogni occasione.
In questo styling ho deciso di abbinare:
- Stivali in pelle nera alti fino al ginocchio Cinti,
- Camicia Denny Rose
- Borsa nera con inserti in metallo color oro Roberto Cavalli (gentile regalo di Lady Arpya).
- Collana in catena d´alluminio e corno di metallo di mia creazione (coming soon).
